The Chevrons Cowl is knit using the intarsia knitting in the round colourwork technique to create a block pattern. The blocks can be knit from scrap yarn or mini skeins. This makes a good pattern for learning intarsia knitting in the round.

 

VERSION 1

Finished Measurments  Circumference: 51 cm / 20 in Height: 23.5 cm / 9.25 in

 

Yarn: Rowan Island Blend Fine (4ply; 70% Wool, 15% Alpaca, 15% Silk), 165 m / 180 yds - 50 g)

Col 1: 28 g of colourway shade 103 Wedgewood

Col 2: 12 g of colourway shade 109 Lagoon

Col 3: 12 g of colourway shade 108 Butterscotch

 

OR in 4 ply weight yarn which knits to the specified gauge. Approximate yardage required:

Col 1: 93 m / 101 yds

Col 2: 40 m / 44 yds

Col 3: 40 m / 44 yds

 

Needles: 3.25 mm / US 3 needles or 40 cm / 16 in circular needles

 

Gauge 23.5 sts x 38 rounds to 10 cm / 4 in on 3.25 mm / US 3 needles in stockinette stitch, after blocking.
