The front and back of Tortoiseshell are worked separately from the bottom up and seamed; stitches are then picked up for the neckband and sleeves and worked in the round. The back and sleeves are worked in St st with yarn A. The front is worked in a St st and intarsia colourwork pattern. Use a separate ball of yarn or bobbins for each colour.
